Doc Who, so great to see you! Merry Christmas! I've been out on leave, so Aces has to answer to the state of the site...

Merry hohohos to everyone...I have inlaws here so am limited in what I can say or do on here...I feel like I'm 12 years old again...

Steve Miller joins Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2016  

Steve Miller, the San Francisco guitarist who courted international fame in the 1970s with a string of radio staples such as “The Joker” and “Fly Like an Eagle,” will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at its 31st ceremony April 8 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Joining Miller in the Class of 2016 are Cheap Trick, Chicago and Deep Purple, artists who ruled the same era and radio format. There is also one notable oddity in the mix — the Los Angeles gangsta rap outfit N.W.A., elected after three unsuccessful nominations in a year when a movie about the group’s career, “Straight Outta Compton,” was a box office hit.

Some of the eligible artists who did not make the cut this year include the pioneering disco group Chic (now in its 10th year of eligibility), Nine Inch Nails, Janet Jackson, the Smiths and Duran Duran.
