I loved Roberta Flack, and especially "Killing me softly"

Didnt some rapper do a remake of that, a cover, in a different style?

bout 10 or so years ago?

I'm gonna search for a minute or 2, I swear I remember something......... scrath head

and another note,,WOW......I had no idea about metallica's drummer blink ...........and that's a band I have always loved, too.........these histories are really a nice addition to LOTD.........

Metallica, like many other bands, has performed with Symphonies, and yes, it changes it from rock, to a more "mellow rock"....but I love when YES did it. and Styx, and metallica, and.........theres a few I've forgoten at this moment..........

heres some metallica with San Francisco Phylharmonic.......it still gets rocky, its just.............somehow nicer for if your all mellow......... :vp:

I posted some comments about the movie I heard this in, I swore it was Cat Stevens singing, even the guitar...but nope...Its the Frames, and titled "People all get ready"
here ya go



I liked the song, and it fit so well, as a closing song for the movie "The world made straight"

1972, Led Zeppelin scored their third US Top 20 hit single with 'Black Dog / Misty Mountain Hop', peaking at No.15, and taken from their fourth album. The song's title is a reference to a nameless black Labrador retriever that wandered around the Headley Grange studios during recording. Robert Plant recorded his vocal for the track in two takes.





1962, Born on this day, Sheryl Crow, US singer, songwriter, who had the 1994 US No.2 & UK No.4 single 'All I Wanna Do', 1993 album 'Tuesday Night Music Club'. Crow worked as a backing singer on the Michael Jackson 'Bad' tour.

1939, Born on this day, Ray Manzarek, keyboards, with The Doors, who had the 1967 US No.1 & UK No.9 single 'Light My Fire' and the 1971 single 'Riders On The Storm'. Manzarek died on 20th May 2013, he had suffered from bile duct cancer for many years. He formed the band with lead singer Jim Morrison in 1965 after a chance meeting in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.
