The Asylum Repository

Post by Chrys on Sat 24 Jan 2015, 5:12 pm

Sarah Palin "Seriously interested"

If this vacuous, incoherent attention whore is put in charge of our entire country, I will sign up for a one-way ticket to colonize Mars.  I cannot survive an installment of dubyah.2, the female version.

Yeah, that was covered here on the local news. I was once in the "If you don't vote, you have no right to complain" camp. Now that the veil of control is beginning to wear thin, there may be hope after all. flowers The general population is not as braindead as they try to make us.

HMMM..guess that ESPN link didn't work, it may be that I didn't know what i was doing, perhaps when I put it in here........anyway, its just about how ALL teams change the weight of the balls, to suit the QB, and it's always gone on.........

so, with that said, i'll say this......tomorows a big day at my house.........Super bowl sunday, even if its teams I'd rather NOT be there, I'll still watch.........got family coming, food all bought, and I'm ready to go.........I say Seattle will win, and I made a bet...LOL....again....he took Pats by 4, I took Seattle, no point spread.......

heaven help any team I bet FOR.........they always lose.........
See you all back in this thread, tomorow......... cheer cheer cheer

Wanna bitch about the weather?

Post by tiny on Sat 31 Jan 2015, 10:05 pm

Well, until now, the East Coast has gotten the brunt of winter, but tonight, Chicago is finally getting it's fair share.........and at a perfect time........

I just looked out my window, we have a good 2 inches, already, and a lot more to come, so they say......I like Chicago's weather, we swelter during the summer, have tornado style storms, that take out our power , for days on end........wind enough to think the city is a politicians open mouth, and GREAT blizzards, when they happen........

I figured, wtf, heres a weather thread........during storms we can add, when we are snowed in we can add.........OR, if one just wants to brag, on what a great day they had........now we have a place....tomorow, I'll see if I can put a pic of my area, all pristine, white..........the cleanest any Chicago area neighberhood could ever look..........plus, then when my kid stops in to look, he can get a taste of home......LOL..no shoveling for him, anymore............

Maybe I'll make a snowman tomorow, maybe I'll even post it............ anon

Well, I knew a blizzard was headed to Chicago, thought I might lose my Sat sig. , for the game. but power?????

THAT, I didn't expect............missed the whole damn 1 st quarter, its still snowin', piling up, and...........the powers back, but , they say........" temporarilly" I think they rigged it up for the businesses near me, on a big sell day, theres a huge sports bar/billiard room, 2 liquer stores, nearby, that needed power for game day..........i'm expecting tonight, for another few hour outtagge, as they fix it properly...........its too friggin COLD to be without heat !!!!!!!!!

I have to say I didn't really care who won this game, and it was an entertaining game to watch, but whoever made that last call for the Seahawks to throw at the goal line when they had Marshawn Lynch ready to punch it in...that was just a really bad offensive call.

Post by tiny on Tue 03 Feb 2015, 7:47 pm

So, another miserable weather day.........near 20 inches of snow, multiple power outages........I started this thread, at the perfect time........
Shopped my ass off for food today, before the snow hit again, and before the shelves in the stores were all sold out.....and good thing I did, too.......snow started heavy and hard, about 10 minutes after I got in, and gave us a real fast inch more..........sub zero's are a'comin, so.......Midwesterners.......bundle up, get comfy, its that time of year again........find a warm body.....cuddle up, and eat, drink, smoke, ......make some fun out of the situation, .........I'm gonna........

ya know.......as long as I have food, warmth, weed, and companionship, the world is a happy place.......... cuppa (and warm coffee ) giggle

Re: The Asylum Repository

Post by tiny on Thu 12 Feb 2015, 6:39 pm

well, since this has kinda become "tiny's bitchin' thread" I'll complain about CAR problems, ........so, when my son left, he flew, and he had always used my old maxima.....it hadn't been started in near 10 days, cause he's gone, SO.......smart me, decides its a good idea to take it to the grorcery store, charge and warm it, ya know...........

pulling out, trunk fulla groceries, I hit the brake, the pedal got WAAAY soft, and the light went on, ....I had maybe 1/10 th my brakes........called home, got help, we filled the fluid up, i drove another maybe 50 feet, light goes back on, barely any brakes........my guy drove in front of me, and I used the gear shifting, and E brake to get myself home...one hairy friggin ride, I might add.......

took it in.......they want over a grand to FIX a car, thats worth probably 500.00 , its so old, HELL........i got that new in 1995.......so, i junked it today, for 200.00

get this, when we took it from the shop, that checked the brakes, they made me sign a waiver that I was aware the car was "unfit to drive on the street"...probably so if i killed myself, or wrecked, they werent liable........

in retrospect, its funny, but, it still pisses me off.........BUT........found a used corrolla I really like, and also an acura, gonna look at both this weekend, and decide which I buy........Corrollas 5 grand, accuras 4............whichever drives nicest, is in best shape, and has the best sound system, I'm buyin'!!!!!!!
