1955, Alma Cogan was at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'Dreamboat'. Cogan went on to score over 20 UK Top 40 singles. Nicknamed ‘The Girl With the Laugh In Her Voice’, she was the highest paid British female entertainer of her era.



1969, 'Space Oddity' by David Bowie was released in the UK for the first time. It was timed to coincide with the Apollo moon landing but had to be re-released before it became a hit, later in the year in the UK (but not until 1973 in the US).



1970, Three Dog Night started a two-week run at No.1 in the US with their version of the Randy Newman song 'Mama Told Me Not To Come', which was also a No.3 hit in the UK.



1987, Heart started a three week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'Alone', it made No.3 in the UK.



1987 , George Strait was at #1 on the US singles chart with "All My Ex's Live In Texas."

The woman from Snowpiercer reminded me of someone, but I couldn't put my finger on it...now I've got it!

You have no idea how into these guys I was. Luckily I got to seem them 3 times before they disbanded, and The Dreaming once in a small club. The Dreaming was made up of 2 SW members, including Christopher Hall who is a hottie...

I was a big fan as well.....never got to see them though .

They're out of L.A. so played lots of gigs up here in SF...small to medium sized venues...clubby atmospheres with bars, etc... I really liked them. I actually had an email exchange with Chris while he was up in Sausalito boat sitting his friend's yacht. Then recently when my sis and I saw The Dreaming in SF, we met SW drummer Johnny Haro and the bassist, whom I did not know, and they asked us if we could hang out and party. It was after midnight and we had already called a cab home. Turning them down was probably one of my biggest regrets. Really cool guys and good musicians...sad they had differences and broke up.
